You want to replace the gasket whenever you replace the thermostat simply as a peace of mind thing. Ho yea, and you might want to use a 180 degree t-stat instead of the 192. Doesn't make a difference other than just a tad bit more power that you prolly won't even notice. And it doesn't change the price either...
I guess I can do that too. When I order the t-stat and the gasket at auto store, how do I specificly tell them what the part is called. I don't wanna confuse them or get the wrong part.
