Well after a few measurements,
the '96 & '97 Contour manifold are 99% similiar to the famed early 2000 Focus manifold.
So if you're thinking of upgrading, you don't need to.
Just port your stock one.

FocalJet guys are having a problem believing it.

I've complained in another post but I'll do it again....
Some of the FocalJet poeple are way to stuck-up on thinking their Zetec engine is better than ours!

It's funny going over to Focaljet and reading the Zetec guys post the same stuff that we already have.

Focus, meet your daddy the Contour, son of the Mondeo.

No, but you could search and find some.

The key is in the part number,
Focus one starts with 98....
Contour one starts with 96...

Not worth the trouble, except to say you have it.

I read somewhere I think Focusfanatics that the SVT manifold will add close to 20hp to a stock zetec. Anyone else read that? I don't know if it is true but if it was it would be a cheap 20hp. It wouldn't be hard to install at all, just bolt on then use a MSD rpm switch to activate it at the desired RPM. Tuning shouldn't be an issue assuming that the MAF detects the increased airflow. If not install an SAFC to compensate.

Not even close,
here's a link to good dyno comparison between stock Focus and SVT Focus manifolds.
