No, they are not. Their Brokerage fees were $50 Canadian a few years ago. I was charged for a set of struts for a previous car. And my uncle had to pay $45 in fees for a freaking shirt. From there on in, I specified USPS, and paid ~$13 for everything (taxes and duty) at the post office.

I can't imagine why they are cheaper. Maybe its because they don't pay taxes, or that they are subsidized by the government, or that they have a monopoly on post mail and can charge whatever they want... All of that and they still can't turn a profit.
USPS may be cheaper, but I would rather ship my packages via people who compete within the system, rather than using their status as a government agency to get around it.

Don't f'n change what I said in quote! WTF is a matter with you?! I shipped a flywheel to Canada. Cost me $75 to ship via USPS. They wanted duty fees so I said f em send it back on your dime then. They did & then I resent it UPS. $30!!!!!! No troubles. This is just one instance. Send similar types of things through both & UPS wins hands down every time.

actually you are wrong about that...most pkgs. do go through memphis its the main hub........but there is also a pretty large hub in indianapolis, one in newark, and one in dallas...
and you are totally wrong about shipping something to your neighbor...packages going to the same city they are picked up from do NOT go through memphis...the same station that picked it up also delivers it,so it sits there overnight..

SO when I go to (rarely) my fed ex place and I ship it normal ground to the next city over and they say, "it'll get there in two days".. they are full of it cause they just wanna drive it to a warehouse somewhere, sit it on a shelf, possibly fondle the contents.. and then they throw it ina sling shot and throw it at my dorr? Man, didn't relize that's how it worked.
