Check the Modification section in the FAQ. There is DRL information there. ------------------ P. I your under hood fuse box (next to the battery) had THIS plug connection , all you must do is buy the DRL relay & plug it in (after you pull out the jumper , of course) http://www.contour.org/cgi/showpic.pl?/FAQ/jpg/drl/DRL-good.jpg If your underhood fusebox looks like THIS (note the hole where the plug should be) , you cannot do this mod . http://www.contour.org/cgi/showpic.pl?/FAQ/jpg/drl/DRL-bad.jpg Hopefully you've got it !! ------------------ "If you want to finish first ... first you must finish !!!" I don't like DRL. They create glare to other drivers!

It's not really a "glare" ... it runs the high beams , but at about 1/2 power . It's enough to get you noticed if some lain-brained idiot is looking to cross in front of you . Might save your life ! You never know ... DRL's have been used on motorcycles for YEARS , it's a hell of a good idea ! Anything that might get ya noticed is good . Now there's even 'pulsating' headlights for motorcycles , they flash between high & low beam . Pretty strange , but it caught MY eye immediately the first time I saw one . I hope you don't believe EVERYTHING you read , AK ! You can believe what you want to , but I'd NEVER run my M/C without the light working ! Like I said before ... It never hurts to be noticed . As for DRL's adding to aggravation of other drivers ... maybe some people just drive like complete A-HOLES & aggravate other drivers . More & more cars are having DRL's , so that means the chance of 'said' A-HOLE having a car with DRL's is higher . Then you get aggravated by his driving ! I didn't see THAT scenario on your article you found . Think about it ... but , if you MUST believe everything you read ... then READ THIS ONE . http://cars.about.com/library/weekly/aa111899.htm don't forget to read the WHOLE thing ...WITH an OPEN MIND ! Take a drive on a two lane highway in NM at midday with the heat rising off the asphault and tell me which is easier to see: A car with it's lights on or it's lights off? ------------------ P. i have to agree, drl are very good. If they are blinding people then that person shouldn't be driving because refections in the daytime are much brighter. How anyone can say it causes accidents (or doesn't stop some)is beyond me. The person is more noticable because they are producing light, not just reflecting the sun. you can see the person from much farther away.
The prob. in the US is that you are not used to it. Now, here in Canada, I get bothered by cars that do not have them. There have been many times that I have gone to pass a car in a tree line street, in the day, not realizing that there is a car comming from ahead lurking in the shadows, without DRLs.
