Instead the best support you could find for the "persecution in schools" argument was a pre-semester reading for a college. I'm no lawyer, but if I was defending a grade school student's right to pray in school, I wouldn't use the "colleges make students learn about competing religions" argument and expect the trial to last very long.

I never specified the persecution I was talking about, but persecution is schools is evidence of it elsewhere.

You also stated If all religion was being eliminated, I wouldn't go the persecution route. UNC's policy shows this isn't the case. UNC students are not forbidden to study Christianity. In fact I bet it's a pretty big part of the Religion curriculum there.

Imagine for a second that they were learning the Gospels, and not the Qu'ran. Do you honestly think that would be okay with left-wing elites? Don't give me the 'well, they don't the Qu'ran, so they should be forced to read it' line. If you do, I will laugh again, and point out all the things kids don't know going into college that they aren't required to learn upon entry. That they aren't prevented from learning Christianity does not disprove my point.

Also, the UNC story is only one of many similar cases.

So rather than the "left-wing elites" we're listen to a rightwing extremist(you) prattle on about how his poor religeon is not getting the respect he feels it deserves? Your point seems to be that it's Ok to whine as long as it conforms to what you agree with.
