I think the examples where kids were suspended for wearing religious medals would be more relevant in this case. Christians are being persecuted by a segment of the left wing; while it's 'Unconstitutional' (not really though) to say a prayer before school, it's certainly acceptable to require kids to memorize the Pillars of Islam and read the Qu'ran for class.

So I wouldn't paint a broad 'religious persecution' brush, but I would say that Christians are being persecuted by certain segments of society.
