Really? How is this so when the early apostlotic writings said that the leaders of the early Christian church were to be men with one wife? Does this mean that priest HAVE to be married? Maybe, but more importanly it is the old bias against polygamy. But the simple fact remains that allowing married priests (other than the ones that currently get in via loopholes) WOULD over time resolve the issue the Church has failed to address, that of pedophilia. It would not eliminate the diddling of altar boys, but allowing the priests a sexual outlet as they had before the Church decided that priests could not use prostitues would go a long way towards avoiding problems in the future.

The Catholic church has perverted scripture for no particilar reason other than to control it's people and it's clergy for decades.
