OP Koski New CEG\'er K Joined: Feb 2004 Posts: 42 Sudbury, Ontario	hey guys i just changed my upstream o2 sensor, when i reconnected the battery the CEL light was off for about 15 minutes, then came back on... but then, after about a day of normal driving, it turned off. but now, 2 days later, it came back on! is there a procedure i can follow for resetting the PCM? or is it indicating yet another problem? please help, i'm a computer tech, not a mechanic! SVTatGT Hard-core CEG\'er S Joined: Nov 2004 Posts: 1,516 Georgia Tech	Well, as a computer tech what would be a good way to turn off the computer... Disconnect the power supply. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery and let it sit for 5 minutes or so. That will reset the pcm. Reconnect the battery and start it up, and hopefully the check engine light wont come back. Cameron 98 Black CSVT #2958

#245 New CEG\'er # Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 21 St. Louis, Mo	A while ago they had a post somewhere in here to clear you pull fuse #4 and #11 in your fuse box, located next to the battery under the hood. let it set for 15 sec and then put the fuses back in. This saves your clock and radio from going down but resets your CEL. It's fast, and the fuse puller tool is in the fuse box. Fast and easy. Later Jack Jack - 98 CSVT #245

That's an easy way to fry some electronics. ALWAYS pull the negative cable FIRST!! When done engine work, ALWAYS connect the negative cable LAST! - just before you fire up the car. Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.
