Sorry I havent posted since that first one, I have been really busy. I appreciate all the good feedback, I thought I should also mention it was only on 87 octane pump gas for budget reasons and my tires are all season since we are still getting some snow up here in Flagstaff. We will see next time, hopefully I can pull off something even faster!!

what u mean? stock computer = 87 octane in other words, using other gas would not make u faster,,, maybe slower.

If you've done enough mods to lean out the air/fuel ratio...higher octane would help. I usually run 89 in my car...it runs considerably better on 91.

What mods would one do to Lean out the air/fuel mixture?

That's just not true.

It is ignition timing and compression ratio that are the major factors in dictating octane requirements. Octane does not equal power it equals resistance to detonation.

Also there is no amount of bolt on mods you are going to do that makes the stock A/F tuning lean. With the exception of something that alters the MAF signal/function.

2000 SVT #674 13.47 @ 102 - All Motor! It was not broke; Yet I fixed it anyway.
