One of them better be nitrous & drag radials with that 9.5 claim.
Even 14.7 is very quick for a 2.5L

I cannot recall many 2.5s running 14.7s...I want some proof.

Like a turbo from ADC? Or the bottle? Otherwise, I call B.S.

why do you guys call BS on the 9.5 in the 1/8th with "just" a 2.5L? i ran a 9.524 with just a 2.5, with no SVT parts i might add.

thats verry quick but i wouldnt call bs i ran a 15.24 with only a intake and chip. if he has other simple mods he could run a 14.7 depending on track conditions and elevation. see i can run a 15.2 all day at atlanta dragway but if i go to silver dollar then i will be running like 14.8's all day. lower elevation closer to sea level means better times.

...and I've called BS since day one to that claim.
Though the Cougar is a bit lighter then the Contour. Especially an SVT.
For reference. With ~200 wheels and 2.2X 60' times I ran 9.57 once. I'd consider myself a very good driver as well. The only other documented run like that was a 190+ FWHP SVT on DR's that did 9.48 (IIRC) and 14.59. He cut a 2.02 60' time.
To run 9.5 with considerably less power you would need at least 1.9x 60' times. Either that or have your car weigh around 2500-2600lbs. Likely a bit of both!
