i am having this problem on my home network... i don't really know too much about computers so maybe you guys can help.
as i am sitting here on the internet, xp keeps flashing the little info buble telling me that a local area network cable is disconnected...i have checked, rechecked, and triple checked all of the connections and all is well. i have gone so far as to replace the lan cables and still no dice. even changed the ports that the computer is plugged into the router. nada.
what could be causing this? i am using a motorola cable modem, and d-link wireless router. my computer is linked to the router via cable. it is the main computer on the system. my little sister's computer is wireless as is the laptop and niether of the two have the same problem. what gives?
