OK the transmission is installed. The block appears to be about 1/8" taller so the bottom pan to tranmission bolt holes had to be notched a bit but everything else for the transmission went smoothly. The passenger side engine mount has been taken care of and the ac still mounts up, it just took some cutting to make the brackets fit. I am going to need a longer serpentine belt maybe 5" longer. The oil pan is installed, the focus oil sump is made of plastic and the 2 piece oil pan also serves as a crank scraper. I had to rotate the pressed oil sump mounting flange so that it mated with the focus oil pump correctly. The main caps on the contour engine are identical except they are taller. Those were necessary for the bolts that hold on the tour's crank scraper. Now the engine is sitting in the engine bay barely mounted up as I need to return the rental engine hoist. I have been taking some pics so I will post them. Also several mounting holes are located in slightly different locations or don't exist all together.
