an exhaust leak will cause a ticking, loose spark plugs can cause a ticking (happened to me) there are many things, hope u find out ur prob

yup the loose sparkplug causes my car to thick too, every time i start hearing the thicking and i start loosing power i go and tighten my sparkplugs and then the car runs strong and no thicking for about 3K miles then it gets loose again ...I wonder why???
