Man am I happy! haha I removed my resonator last weekend and filled up tonight. My car went from 14.3 mpg to 16.9 mpg! I think my res might have been really clogged with carbon. My EGR was completely blocked at one point. Could that caused a big build up in the res? Either way I'm happy with the result!
Did anyone else notice a jump in gas mileage after removing their res?

1/2 mpg increase w/catback svt exhaust and intake, nothing spectacular.
However, Zero, your current fuel economics isn't too appealing. I'm glad it jumped up, but I think you need to tackle what's going on with it.

My new SVT is averaging 30/32 on the highway... with a 56 year old man driving.
And 18 in the city with my lead foot.

I've been getting around 18-22mpg doing about 90% city drving. Even after my exhaust, intake, and optimized Y-pipe, my gas mileage hasn't really changed. Then again my driving has become a lot more agressive because I like hearing the Duratec when I'm driving the Contour.

That mileage SUCKS! On a bad tank I still get ~20mpg in straight city driving. That's with my lead foot and constant full power spins to 7500 or so. It's normally 22-23mpg city and 28mpg on the highway. My engine is 20% larger too.

None of you should feel badly at all. My Duratec's lugging around 800 less lbs, and i'm still getting like 14 mpg.
