I have FoMoCos X-Plan and Mazda's S-Plan (among others, I can actually get almost every auto manufacturer pricing except Honda and Toyota products), but I don't belive they're currently running any special thing that would allow me to give you a PIN number. A couple times a year they allow people to freely give out PIN numbers to anyone, and MNAO employees can freely give them out whenever they want, but I don't work for Mazda unfortunately.
At the very least I can email you the S-Plan PDFs that list the pricing (very close to what you'd see for invoice on Edmunds.com). Few dealers will go through the trouble of verifying everything. If you've got the sheets, that's usually all that matters. If nothing else, the printouts straight from MNAO on pricing is a strong negotiating tool. I bought my Mazda3 on S-Plan without providing my PIN, I just had my sheets, even when Mazda3s were going for sticker-only.
But if you'd like to try going the PIN route and seeing if it works, PM me, and perhaps we can work something out.

for some reason deals can be had in TX and CA, but not up here. is it an 04 or an 05?

TX and CA are very concentrated with Mazda dealers.
Within 20 miles from me there are 6 Mazda dealers with over 30 MazdaSpeed MX-5s, 40 Miatas, 210 Mazda3s, 225 Mazda6s, 90 RX-8s, 225 Tributes, 50 MPVs, and 20 B-series all right within a 15-minute drive.
And the '04 MazdaSpeed MX-5s have been sold out here a while. So I assume he must've bought an '05.

Invoice less student rebates and they gave me a good value on the trade. The last T-Silver MSM in MA! now, someone help me find that clear bra stuff for the front end....
