OK. Just got back from Ira Mazda. Looking like less than $20k with all the incentives and they are interested in giving me a competitive number on the trade.

2004 MazdaSpeed MX5, Red, Cloth

The car is far and above a regular 6 speed Miata and $1000 cheaper for some odd reason. I'm not in love with the red seat inserts, but I bet I can trade for leather with someone on the Miata boards.

Might be doing the deal on Sunday. Wish me luck!!!

And FYI, in MA you don't pay tax on the trade-in or incentives any more. So that saves me about $700 right there.

Awesome! If I ever make it to a Sox game I'm going to be knocking on your door to get a ride in that!

Thats great Baco, I really hope you get it. We'll have to get together for a cruise. My car just came out of hibernation. My father still has his '01 and I have 2 good friends that bought Miatas after rides in mine. They bought an '94, '95 M-Editions.

Hows the business coming along?

Probably my favorite 1st generation Miatae - it's a toss up between that and the '92 C-package black and tan, the '92 British Racing Green and the Starburst yellows... Darn, I really like those lttle cars! I miss my Montego Blue '96. One of these days I'll find a cheap beater Miata to autocross and bomb around in.

'95M Miata - Merlot Mica over tan leather, separate headrests (all other US Miatae have had high-backed buckets with integrated headrests, which are worthless for tall guys like me), super light 15" BBS forged alloys (only 9.6 lbs each), Torsen diff, Nardi wheel and shifter, bass shakers in the seats, etc., etc.

The 95M and 94M are both beautiful cars. My friend originally wanted a Montego and found the Merlot and fell in love with it. My old boss wanted the Merlot after seeing my friends, found the Montego and fell in love with that color instead.

They both found low mileage cars. We just installed a style bar in my friends 95M this past weekend and a new glass window roof on it the week before.

I love the Montego Blue when it's clean and waxed, the green highlights in the blue are stunning. I think the Merlot is just a perfect color on the Miata though.

I've never been a fan of style bars myself, I prefer the purposeful look of a Hard Dog Dual Diagonal roll bar, but to each his own, which I suppose is the point of this little thread hijack

On topic, I don't know how you can beat the MS Miata for value among the Miata choices. GO FOR IT!!!
