Looking at doing a simple cold-air intake for my 2.5l duratech.
I want to throw a KN filter in ther (cone) and trash that crappy air box. I have seen a few people do this without having to get an intire cold-air intake kit. They simly got an adapter plate that bolted right on to the intake manifold, and sized down the pipe to fit the filter.
My questions... are there any downsides attaching the intake without doing the entire intake systems (AEM, etc).
and also, what is the model of the KN cone filter that fits our cars?
anyone know where to get one of these brackets / adapters?
