If the dealership has its act together (which, given their inability to repair the problem, seems unlikely), they might have used one of several devices designed to keep the customer's radio presets saved. These usually consist of nothing more than a 9-12V battery that plugs into the cigarette lighter, to provide backup power to the radio memory. Actually a pretty good idea, but I don't know if it is recommended for use when service is being done on the airbag system.
But yeah, you should take it back and have them fix it. I had the airbag sensor (front center sensor) problem too, and it was covered by a recall.
