hi all.i bought a 1995 contour se with 51000 miles on it .all is GREAT except a flashing 5-1 on airbag light.dealer said he will fix at his cost since i noticed it on the test drive.he was all upset he missed it etc. ..brought it in to him and "his guy"couldnt fix it.they brought it to a ford dealer and 3 days later they were still "looking"for problem.i said f it and got my car back today....i need my ride etc. 5-1 is still flashing..my question is why are all my fm and am presets still there?all the threads i saw said DISCONNECT BATTERY BEFORE SERVICING AIRBAG if it can be tested and serviced with battery i guess im just p //// off that they cant find the trouble.the bottom line is i got a great car with the airbag light still f!! flashing!should i bring it to a different ford dealer to check?its all my cost now.
