Yeah, just wire one of the bulb terminals to ground and the other to the signal light wire at the headlight assembly. That's how I wired mine.
As for the fender hole size, I didn't measure it, but I'd estimate it as being 1/2 of an inch(maybe larger)in diameter. Anyone take a precise measurement?
