Join the ding and scratch club  . I don't even park next to people unless I have no choice--I'll park and walk. I think one of the reasons we notice them is because we care so much about our cars.

Pretty much the same thing here, it sucks when you gotta park in with everyone else. People's kids or people that don't care just open the door right into yours, I swear if I catch someone do that to my car I will get all their information down and get them to pay for the damage they did.
