Same here except i have a 98 atx...I have never seen very close to 300

I average 21/22 a tank, doesnt seem to shirt a whole lot in either direction if I beat on it or go easy...

In mostly city driving I get 250 miles from 11 gallons. (typical fill up cycle)

My MPG is 21-23 city and 28 highway. Pretty good considering my driving style and larger engine.

On mostly open Interstate I average 27 to 28 MPG, or 300 to 350 miles before it says "E". Usually there are 2 gallons left on that range. I do very little city driving, but mileage seems to fall off pretty quick on long trips averaging over 80MPH (around 3500 RPM).

Used to get 29MPG highway before roughly 170,000 miles on the odo.

The way I figure it is, I check my mileage religiously on every single fill-up, and I pretty consistently average 23 mpg, with little variation (although once a year it starts to go down, which tells me to clean my K&N). So I figure that the tank is what, 14 gallons, right? So I know that conservatively, I'll be safe to 280 (which works out to 20 mpg), and if I wanted to stretch it, I could push up toward 300.

But I usually get scared around 230-240 and fill 'er up. A few summers ago, I bombed down to N.C. in around 10 hours and was getting 300+ per tank, and I kept it right around 80-85 mph the whole way down.

The best i ever remember out of a tank is 278, but i usually try not to fall under a half tank, and i hate going under a quarter because these cars, or mine at least, has the most inaccurate readings under a quarter tank.

I have a 97 SE, and on a recent road trip got about 34mpg, averaged over 750 miles. I've never actually seen mileage that good before on that particular drive, but I think the combination of a new fuel filter, fuel system treatment (some $1.99 / bottle stuff from autozone) and no congestion on the highway added up.

I get the feeling that they may not actually have been inflating the truth that much when the guys at my local Valvoline recommended a fuel treatment to me. Of course, theirs was incredibly marked up...
