I drive in dc which is 99% bumper to bumper driving on my SVT contour. I seem to be getting little under 200miles on a tank. Its really killing me. Maybe something is wrong with my car.
What is everyone else gettin?

Nope, that sounds about right....you aren't moving, which isn't making the engine perform as effeciently as it could be...I got 340 out of a tank after performing a basic "tune-up" of sorts.

I drive mainly highway, not much traffic, and I get around 280-300 miles per tank. I'm not in an SVT, just a regular V6 though. It seemed to get a little better this past week, since I installed my new K & N conical filter. I'm probably just trying to justify the cost in my mind... ?

I want to say I'm seeing about 240 to a tank in my '97SE MTX, in Northern Virginia mostly-commuting traffic.

I've gotten as high at 420mpt [in a cougar]. I average about 31-32mpg [with several freak occurances over 35mpg]. but all my driving is uncongested highway.

The past three tanks i've managed to get between 280-300 miles with maybe 75 of that being highway...it's a pain in the ass shifting at 1500 rpm though...and at fill up it took 12.4 gallons

I used to get around 320-340 miles per tank when I had a primarily hwy commute, now I get around 260-280 miles in mixed driving.

I get 280-300 miles in an almost all city commute back and forth to school. I try to get the Contour up on the highway on the weekends to stretch its legs.
