But my differing takes precedence over your differing; so by differing with my differing your differing cannot win.

Well, excuse me for being a pansy, but I'd like my A/C to work... Anyway, yesterday I checked the system, and this is what I found. With the engine running and A/C on, pressure would rise from 25 to 45 psi and then drop back to 25psi. When it would go up to 45, I would hear a clicking sound from what I'm guessing is the compressor, and then the guage would drop back to 25. I tried adding some refridgerant, but it didn't help. It's still blowing just hot air. Ideas...?

hmm my idea is that you broke it! The compressor itself could just be done. Did you ever have it recharged? alot of times once you recharge the A/C thats gonna be the end for it. The more you fill it the faster I think the darn thing dies.

Hardy-har-har, Zerohour. Seriously, I bought this car used just last month, so I don't know if anyone tried to recharge the system before. I tried to get some fresh refridgerant into the system, but I'm not sure how much actually went in. After all, 25-45psi is a charged system according to the guage. It's still just blowing hot air. I was wondering if it was the compressor not catching for some reason. Can that be fixed, or does the whole compressor have to be replaced?
