The ECM can only compensate for things relating to the engine managment, not shift points for the ATX or line pressure. The ECM is programmed with preset shift points, under different conditions/variables. It will shift differentally, giving different conditions; such as going up hill, WOT, ect... Resetting the computer though will not cause the ECM to forget how it should shift the ATX.
I would like to note that I used to think other wise, but with alittle more research I learned otherwise.
