I bought the car in August of 2002 with just under 12K on it. In 2.66 years, the car has only had an additional 17K put on it, and almost of those miles are highway miles.
However, I've had to replace a lot of things on the car, despite its low mileage. So far I've replaced the tires, struts, strut bearings, exhaust from the back of the cat the the rear of the car, the stereo (it went bad), all 4 speakers (they blew out), the antenna, and had the car in the shop several times for loose electrical connections. Funny thing is that this stuff all went within 5k after I bought it. Ever since 9 months after owning the car, it has never had one other thing go wrong with it.

99,200 as of this morning Bought it 27 months ago with 60,192 miles So about 1450 miles per month, 17,400 miles per year About to get some major upgrades for the big 100 large mark

BUT, the car was purchased Nov. of 2002 with 77,500 which means my actual math would go:
125,584 - 77,500 = 48084.00 in 26 months
48084.00/26 = 1849.38 miles per month
48084.00/2 = 24042.00 miles per year

Had it for 3 years (with 33,000 when I got it)
I have put 78,300 miles in 3 years, so I average
26,100 miles PER YEAR!!!

averaged comes out around 9,000. not totally accurate, I put 3,200 last year and since all the mods and money i put into it a couple of years ago I bought a winter beater so I don't use the contour has much.

My current mileage is about 320,000 Kilometres -about 200,000 miles, and I average about 50,000 Kilometres - about 31,000 miles per year. Give or take.
I purchased the car new in 1999, it is an early 1998 and sat on the dealers lot for a before I bought it.
Still love the car.
