If it is in front with a shock attached to it then it is on the opposite side of where the differential and rear roll restrictor is.
When I said axle side, I meant the side of the transmission that the axles are plugged into, i.e. the differential housing.
The part where the shock mounts is worthless! Unbolt the shock and throw all of that away. Get in on Pole's group buy for the solid polyurethane rear motor mount and buy energy suspension inserts for the front roll restrictor and you will have no more problems with that.
I have a turbo 3L and I don't even use the shock mount. The good news is you won't even have to pull the transmission at all unless there are other problems.
