I took my car into the local Ford dealership because of some weird vibrations in the drivetrain. Turns out one of the motor mounts was broken. They fixed that, but they also said that the transmission mount was busted as well and that they couldn't fix it. They said the only way to fix the problem would be a whole new tranny.
This sounded like BS to me but I thought I'd see what the experts here think.
Apparently a piece actually busted off the transmission mount. They gave the piece to my parents when they picked the car up but I won't have a chance to look at it until this weekend.
Any insight into the situation would be appreciated.
