$3USD/gal converted is 0.95cCAD/liter. It's freaking 1.21cCAD/liter up here so stop bellyaching.
The US still pays the lowest price for gasoline compared to the rest of the world.
You want lower gas prices ? Elect some politicians with balls to drag your country past gasoline and into alternative fuels like methanol, diesel and hybrids. The higher the demand goes, the higher the price.

I used to be able to fill it up with 30 bucks and call it a day. Gas here is up to $2.43/gal at the local WalMart and that's the cheapest I've seen around the city. $20 this morning barely got me to half a tank.
I need to get rid of this thing!

HAHA! You complain about a $20 fill up for half a tank?
My Suburban, 42 gallon tank...
If I had to fill up 40 of those? $102.40 at the $2.56 a gallon it is right now...
HALF A TANK? $51.20...
And for those that want to jump on me for having a Suburban...GET OVER YOURSELF..You would too if you needed room for the six in my family, plus cargo, plus towing capacity...

yesterday i was in Hollywood getting my alignment done, at a bitchin shop, and had to get gas. i went to ARCO, the cheapest gas in town, and paid $2.70 for 91 premium. thankfully, its much cheaper where I live. its at about $2.60 or so right now.
the news also said that CA has now surpassed Hawaii as the most expensive state to buy gas in. yeah! if the Lakers are out of the playoffs we might as well be #1 in something!
ps summer is still to come which traditionally jacks the prices up even more.
Thats what you get for living in Kommie Kalifornia.

Fuel went up about 25¢/gallon around here in the last 4-5 days . This sucks ! The SVT needs fuel (light on) , and premium is $2.75/gallon . Thanks goodness I don't drive the SVT much . Makes me love my Jetta even more - 30+ mpg on 87 octane (which is still $2.5x/gallon) . Vive la JETTA !!

It's not in Georgies best interest to get us away from our dependency on oil .

Politicians here aren't the only answer to the puzzle. And neither are alternative fuels as the technology isn't 100% viable right now for a worldwide application. Look at cargo for instance. When is the last time you saw a hybrid or alternate fuel powered 18-wheeler? How about a shipping freighter that didn't burn diesel? Exactly......The world has higher demands for gasoline, including your beloved Canada. So stop your bellyaching.

Gas is $2.68 everywhere near where I live. $2.70 someplaces, and $2.59 is the cheapest I saw during my trip to Indianapolis earlier this week.
Good thing I don't have to drive to work, I'm hoping it will go down before I have to fill up sometime this month.

It is $2.49 at the local Murphy's and a penny less at a smaller chain down the street. All the Exxons and Chevrons on one side of town has their prices at $2.51 and on the other side of town, it is $2.54. But what gets me is that you drive 7 or so miles out of town and it is $2.57 and I even saw a BP station with $2.61!!
