CA has more country than you think. in fact, probably more than half the state is country. whenever i drive up to Yosemite, all i see is about 7-8 hours of country.
Most states have woods or farms. I guess I should clarify. I meant deep south country.

Nice cheap shot. Really mature there. What do you do? What do you drive? Who do you live with? How old are you? WHO CARES? Nothing like a CEG discussion.
To touch on some topics...
Gas is fairly expensive here...just paid $2.39 for 87 tonight at 7-11. I'm dreading filling up the Turbo again.
I don't like Cali because of the stupid emissions laws and the general over-inflation of everything involving money. Otherwise, fine.
Favorite cities: Portland OR Vancouver BC Seattle WA Denver CO Boise ID Billings MT Buffalo NY Corpus Christi TX
Yes, I've actually been to all of them.

I joined the military in '95. I have been back several times, but a few things have changed and I haven't been back in about 2 years.
My best friend's childhood home on Curtis between 3rd and 4th streets burned down a couple of years back. Thankfully no one was hurt, but his parents moved to Durant afterwards.
Another good friend that lived a block from me abandoned his house. Actually, his parents abandoned it first and he abandoned it about 2 years later when he got married and moved to Ardmore. His old place was at the end of Main St. It was a pre-fab / trailerhouse with a 2 story garage/apartment structure behind it.
I grew up living at 406 W. Main in Calera. It's a dump now - everytime I see it in person I just want to pull up and shoot the people that have destroyed it. Anyway, I've been told by my mom that the Historic Society or whatever it's called there in town has photos of the place from when we lived there. Supposedly it's a historic home in the town, but I haven't investigated how, yet.
BTW, did you know Joe? The cop for Calera that passed a couple years ago? My mom was a friend of his.
I don't know how long you've been involved with the town, but the friend I mentioned that abandoned his home was a reserve officer for Calera a few years back.
In fact, I think another friend - Craig Huddle - was also reserve up until very recently.

Just wanted to mention I paid $40.99 to fill my tank last night here in San Diego at an Arco station (about the cheapest around). I remember filling my mom's Ford Taurus for $17 back in around 1999 or so...

I am dreading when we crack the $2.00 mark here in Roanoke.
The gas war between a SuperCenter and an Albertons is ending
I got it for $1.96 but I imagine when I pass it tomorrow it will be over $2 a gallon
I wonder where the last place to hit $2.00 will be..
