yeah, but FMR lives up near SF where pretty much everybody gets along. highly diversified area with lots of culture. it seems down here in LA area that racism is mostly between the "minorities" than with the caucasion public. for the most part though, in LA, you almost cant even tell. its very well hidden. nowadays you see so many mixed couples its not even funny. which is cool IMO. the more integration the less problems everyone has with each other. CA has major positives and major negatives. up in farmland CA it is almost like a completely different state. up where they had the 98 year Blue Diamond almond strike. but, good luck finding a job out there other than busting your a$$ on a farm (somebody else's farm) or being a cashier at Walmart (no offense). its kind of depressing.. if your kids go to college they have practically no promise of finding a good job in these areas. in the big cities, its expensive to live but with the right skills and experience you can make good money. there's outdoors, nightlife, culture etc... it really is a wonderful place to live but the cost of living in most places is just strangling the common family. its our d*ckheads up north in Sac that keep raising taxes and wasting money. so far, Ahnold hasnt done much to relieve us of this as he promised to do. unfortunately, with the average income being so high it invites thieves to come in and rob us blind, as we had with our energy crisis a few years ago, with the politicians' approval! the big cities are just bursting at the seams with people. and no, its no all illegal immigrants. there are many but its just too many people, period. there is tons of room outside of the big cities. hopefully the populations will keep pushing outwards as they have been doing, ever so slowly, meanwhile establishing good employment there. otherwise, we will just continue to have massive traffic headaches with tons of people driving from their homes 50 miles away to their jobs in the city. efficient affordable public transportation, like the BART system is what LA really needs, badly.

True, I need to get back home, college is a little expensive. But with that comes less partying.

its good to have "outsider" perspective on things. besides, Canada is really like a 51st state anyways. they look and sound just like us, they do whatever Bush tells them to, and in most major cities, you wouldnt even know you were outside the US except for everything written in English AND French.

No they don't. They've stayed out of our continental missle defense shield project, knowing they're going to benefit from it anyways.
EDIT: ...among other things.

Yeah and canada sucks almost as much as california, the drinking age and something else make it a tad bit better.

Stupidity perhaps?
Would you suggest we all go live in the Land of Dirt with you? I know, we could all quit or jobs, move in with you and work at WalMart too! We could all be your clones! and bow down to you and think just like you! That is what you want right?
Some people choose to live on their own, make their own living, and live in Ca. Some choose to do other things. It is pathetic to bash people that have different opinions as you. You like your life and where you live, I like mine, and am totally content living in Ca. If you have a problem with me living in California, I suggest you take tiome and deeply examine your life as something must be severly lacking for you to be so consumed by any of our lifestyles.

NY's pretty expensive too but its one of the largest cities in the US.
Taking me for example, I plan on living in NYC and in CA for at least a few years out of my life. Not knocking TX, but you I don't see the allure of Dallas.
You are aware that I'm living in KS and that I've lived in other States as well as overseas, right?
