Don't worry about getting laughed at. Heck I drove my car 3 hours to the dyno and all around town without the bumper cover. As Worldtour says I must be a crazy mofo! LOL

I've never seen Micah's 3.0LX with a bumper cover.. And I've hung out with him for a couple years... Man I love that car though..

ProjectContour: I don't think there's anything to be ashamed of in rebuilding your car and driving it around unfinished.. Fcuk what the prick in the SVT thinks.. Props to ya for tackling the project!

I try not to laugh at Hondas with unsanded bondo and locomotive-sized, primered cow-catchers, if for no other reason than to not end up in a Honda forum as "some older guy."

Seriously, though, what you have is a "work in progress," and the educated viewer can usually tell the difference between that and a "train wreck in progress." You have the guts to really tear into it, and I guess you have to have the guts to put up with the stares and funny looks, too. Your payoff will come later.

Dont even sweat it. I dont doubt youll see him again and show him up. Ive learned about humiliation and ridicule driving this car( I sold my M3 and got it got for $ reasons) but I dont even care or bother telling people why. As long as you take pride in your ride and enjoy driving it, thats all that matters. Smile at the thought of the old guy being too lazy and unoriginal to do something himself as you are. At least youre not part of the Welfare Racing team...the ones who save up for a shogun bumper but cant afford the paint!

Your hard work will be worth it in the long run. If anything, laugh at the fact he's a snotty old guy still driving a Ford Contour.

ill post some pics of the car comin along from havin no front end and smashed all up to when its finished..i should have it finished end of this week..early next week..not totally done.. but at least painted..
