Originally posted by Psymon: Ok...so I searched for this, using a few different terms, but I can't find a thing *sigh* My poor little '96 SE has started making a strange metallic klink-type noise when going over bumps. Only on the driver's side...sounds like it is somewhere behind the driver's seat. If I hit a bump on the passenger's side...nothing. I have checked the trunk...nothing that could be making that kind of sound (loose jack or anything), and it definatly sounds louder when I open the window. I think it sounds like I'm constantly driving over a loose manhole cover...or someone left a wrench tied to the bottom of my car and it's hitting something on the underside....it's frustrating!!! My dad says my radio's not loud enough....... Any BETTER suggestions? TIA!
Thats the best way to fix any noise.
Sounds like the sway bar bushing or strut mount is worn. Mine makes a klink noise to, not loud though, but it's cuased by fancy aftermarket suspension goodies.
