Well, what is the worst traffic you've experienced? I moved from bumble[censored] PA to near Philly, and Philly is pretty bad at rush hour, especially 76/95 near Conshohoken (sp?). However, I think that D.C. traffic might be worse. It doesn't stop for hours as much, but it does keep going 24 hours a day. 495 is always bad, and rush hour is hell on certain parts.

I know I haven't been in any real serious traffic. I still get a bit nervous driving through downtown Atlanta sometimes or ever downtown Macon around the mall. I'm just not used to 4 or 5 lines of traffic and all of them almost being full. And in Atlanta on 285, you have to go over 100 in the fast lane or get ran over.

Come out to CA drive the 405 or the 101 in the morning. After that you will never cry about bad traffic again. My worst was 7 hours for my 52 mile commute.

I love atlanta freeways, but it does take some getting used to. I drove by a cop on GA 400 in a line of cars doing 90 in a 55 in the far right lane and he didn't even budge. Atlanta sucks at some points due to poorly designed roads and losing lanes when you get away from the city. My drive home from work consists of 20mph for 3 miles, 90 mph for 20, and 20mph for 5 miles and then I am back.

I usd to wait 2 hours waiting in traffic every morning. There was a drawbridge that led to Newport News Shipyard and it took 2 hours just to get across the bridge.

The problem with America is stupidity.
I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment
for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety
labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?

Going into NYC one morning on I-80. I swear it was backed up all the way to the PA state line.

I-87 had a 4 car accident awhile ago, and they shut down the entire road. I think some people were stuck in traffic for upwards of 6 hours. I run for a rescue squad that does accidents on I-87, and for really bad accidents, we shut down the whole road in one direction, so a helicopter can land on it. Causes huge delays.
