You should lose no power at no rpm point what-so-ever.

A more efficient intake is a win/win situation. Less turbulence and straighter airflow is as well.


I could see it if you were added a longer pipe or one with bends (or both) like in a CAI kit. Then your throttle response and tip-in power would suffer.
However not with a short ram pipe and especially not considering you are replacing the POS pleated accordian tube.
