To give you something to go by my wife is at 370KM with 1/4 tank left. She drives 100% stop and go.

292km with 1/4 tank of gas left.
All city driving since going to your place.....
I'm 35km ahead of the last tank (before motorvac) and have gas to go!

I'm going on a limb here as I have no valid proof (haven't filled up yet),
but I will say I used 3L/100km less this tank.

Sounds good Jeff. I am there then. Can use the improvement!
Erik

PS what time did you leave work tonight? Drove by and wondered if we should have dropped in...

I got 500Km on my last tank. 200 Hwy, 300 City but I babied the car. I never went above 3000RPM. Driving the same last year got me 590KM. I might try the motorvac too. My wife regularly gets 450 - 500KM all city driving. Not bad for a 10 year old automatic Contour.

Gee maybe we should all book in for one afternoon. By that time the shop will be sick of our UIM.

You wont just notice an increase in gas mileage but also in the smoothness of the way the car runs and idles. Least I do anyway. It is a worthwhile investment on the car. It is part of my annual maintenance.

I have no clue how this is possible!!!!!!

Since owning my Tour (May99) I've only seen numbers like this for all Highway.

I filled up tonite, finally......

2 tank avg (before motorvac)..17.43L/100km or 13.57mpg (us)
1 tank (after motorvac)..........13.61L/100km or 17.38mpg (us)

Difference is -3.82L/100km or +3.81mpg after motorvac cleaning.

Most of you know with my rim/tire combo my spedo is off. The 2 tank avg was with my 14inch
stock steelies (assuming spedo was correct with them).
I've purchased a GPS, woohoo!, and have corrected my Odometer reading to my GPS reading for the last tank with 16 E0's on.

If I don't use the correction and just go by my Odo reading
Difference is -2.69/100km or +2.48mpg

as you know, you can't rely on 1 tank for fuel mileage. So time will tell.

I'm happy so far.

Oh and just incase your wondering how bad my spedo is off.
1km = 1.08km or 8km for every 100km travelled.
For those not liking the distance calculation 90kph is 97kph, almost 8% off and that miata tire size web page
says I should only be 2.8% slow from stock.
