Sometimes I get to bed late. I do a roller-coaster deal with energy drinks. My favorites are Diet Rockstar, Lo-Carb Monster, and Sugar-Free Sobe "No Fear." I'll cycle from drinking them in good-sized quantities to cutting back off them. I just had a big round of tests, so I'm kinda on the high-point right now and consuming about three per day.
They work pretty well, though.
You can also find someone with ADD and buy some of his Adderall. Get the time-release capsules and you'll be good for twelve hours.

Energy drinks only last a few hours...atleast for me. And it gets to be money wasting to be buying them everyday before classes. Even though you may stay up late, try not too. Go to bed at a decent hour. Normal sleep time is 7-8 hours, 8-9 is optimal. ~ Sleep is the key here.~

Sleep. Eat healthy. If you use chemicals like sugar, caffeine, and the like to stay awake, you will just hurt your body. Get enough rest every night, and stay away from sugar, especially soda. Drink water. Milk is good too. Make sure you get enough vegetables. A salad a day is a good habit, and can help keep you from getting tired in the afternoon.
Again: relying on sugar and chemicals will make you a) fat b) sick c) maybe diabetic. And after your body gets used to them, you will be tired again, like you see happening now.
Oh, and stick to beer. Liquor is much worse for you, and when mixed with sugary substances is several times more effective at killing brain cells. I mean, when you turn 21.

this explains a whole lot for my brain
I've noticed since I stopped drinking soda so much, my energy levels have improved quite a bit. I used to get sleepy in the afternoons at school all the time, and even at my job soon after college. I cut out the 2-3 sodas a day, got a more regular sleep and eating schedule, and ate healthier foods, and drink water frequently throughout the day. big key for me was going to bed and waking up at the same times every day/night.

Doesn't it depend on how much you consume? In any case, I try to drink a lot to kill off all the brain cells I don't use to give more room to the brain cells I do use. Supposedly we don't use a lot of our brain, so I have a lotta work to do.

yeah, that's a huge deal. I can get up regularly at sunrise easier than I can get up at 9 one day, 11 the next, 8 the next... I may be more tired at night, but I can get waaaay more work done- very critical during the semester.
