SLEEP MORE

Any alternative, especially since your caffeine dependence level seems to be pretty high, is just going to destroy your body even more.

I used to put off sleep through highschool and my first year in college, but eventually you either try to push the limit too hard or years of neglect catch up to you. Your best bet is to start managing your time better.

i will now give what will be your second good answer after sleeping more. run. long story short, during a long run your body releases a chemical that somehow or other gives you more energy. i can't remember the details right now or i would be more precise. or you can just get a proper amount of sleep.

Yeah, after soccer practice, I'd sleep good and the next day have energy. Exercise is good.

Red Bull is good. Use the sugar free version though because sugar can have negative effects just like caffeine.
I try to eat apples to keep me awake and alert in class. Apples have a natural "chemical" that keeps you awake.

Well, thats simple. You need to eat healthier. Filling your body with sugar will make you more tired as it wears off. Have a good breakfast and eat apples, bannanas, and other fruit during the day. They have natural sugars in them as well. Drink water, NOT SODA.

I had a problem staying awake and was dependant on Mountain Dew...that all ended when I started working out. Build some muscle; it ups your metabolism.

I'm the guru of staying up late.

Stay natural, go with the energy drinkss with finals or something really important. However, if it's just to stay up every now and then, take a cold shower or do some push-ups, that'll get the adrenaline kicking in, you'll be good for a good 30mins-an hour.

If it deals with trouble in class, sleep more. You're still in high school, you shouldn't have too many difficulties/reasons to stay up that late. If for some reason you are having difficulties finishing work up on time, reevaluate your studying practices. If you're watching TV while studying or listening to music, etc. you could be lossing valuable sleep time. If you're having problems sleeping, that's just another matter, go see a sleep therapist.

Also, new holistic discovery on my part...eat almonds when you're studying pretty difficult stuff. Apparently, it supposedly helps cognition. Some chemical in almonds, apparently does this. It's been well-known in Vedic-medicine, however Eastern holistic practices are starting to discover this.
