haha. I have been actively trying to increase my troubleshooting time by 10 times...

I haven't been able to support CEG much in the past, and I felt it was my duty to be able to do so.

so.. yeah, I have been actually making sure that I log AT LEAST x hours in troubleshooting or researching, etc (hence the recent surge in how-tos)

Those oil-impregnated filters can be a real pain the butt. You HAVE to make sure that you do not over-oil those things, and that it properly dries before you put it back in. I'm not trying to say you're dumb, but you might want to pull that filter out and clean it just to make sure. Those filters can cause a lot more headaches than the few dollars it might save in gas over the years. I am sticking with my paper filter.

The filter is brand new...the only oil that is on it is from the factory (pre-oiled). Not to say during the oiling process the factory put too much oil on but...nonetheless I will try cleaning the TB in the next few days.

I agree. I'd say 3/4's of all of the Contiques I've had have had this same condition. There are two fixes. One, clean the TB very well. Pay particular attention to where the butterfly make contact to the TB bore. Keep testing it as you clean it by just rotating the throttle cam by hand. Best to clean it if you can remove it from the intake. If it is spotless and still sticks you can adjust the throttle stop screw to keep the butter fly from closing to the point of sticking. Sometimes the bore is scored and this is the only quick fix to keep it from sticking. Since there is no head on the screw to adjust it all you need to do is turn it with a pair of vise grips. You will only need to turn it a little bit(1/8 -1/4 turn). Just enough to keep the butterfly from sticking. When you're done disconnect the battery to reset the PCM the reconnect and drive as usual. The car may idle high for the first couple of starts, but it will adjust automatically once the PCM relearns the new TPS postion. I've done this dozens of times.
