Not sure if this is called Throttle hang or is Moosing. Anyway If I am driving and i let off the gas to coast for a few seconds and the go to press the gas pedal again, the pedal sticks at first so I push harder and it comes unstuck but i get a "jerk forward" from the shot of gas from me pushing the pedal further (past the sticking point).
I opened the hood and wanted to see if working the throttle manually (from under the hood)if it sticks when it is opened and it does. If you let go of the throttle, the bracket rests on a pin and when you go to open the throttle it sticks at 1st (just like it does w/ the gas pedal from inside the car). I tried spraying some WD-40 on the throttle bracket under the hood but didnt help. Any ideas or solutions on how to fix?

it is neither moosing nor throttle hang. i have not gotten around to checking it out but mine does this too. when i initially touch the go pedal it sticks for a moment.

i have not read through very much of my quick search yet but a common suggestion is to clean the throttle body and to inspect the cable itself.

inspect for frayed throttle cables, as this was actually something of a concern (enough for a prior recall)..
also inspect for misalinged or sticking bracketry..

ya i did some extensive searching and found that cleaning the TB may or may not fix it. I will try that as well as putting more WD40 on the outside brakets.
When i bought the car several months ago it did not have this prob. I have since installed a RU3530 so maybe some of the oil from the filter gummed up the TB. Il try doing what I said above and see if it does the trick.
whats the best TB cleaner to use? barrymens 12? Buy at Pep Boys, Wal-mart, Advanced, etc?

Berryman's is the tits, for a reason..
comes in spray and liquid.. if you haven't cleaned the uim/lim already do that too.. with liquid..pull it off (you will clean more and do a better job..)

It's the butterfly valve sticking in the throttle body. It sticks shut with all the carbon buildup. Clean it out and your problem should go away. Think about it, all the throttle cable does is open the butterfly. What else would cause it to stick?

Most likely it is a dirty throttle body. Clean it and see if it goes away. If it doesn't, let us know and we can help you look further.
Get a can of throttle body cleaner and an old toothbrush and clean it. Scrub gently so that you don't damage the teflon coating on the throttle bore.

as stated... fraying wires cause it to bind hellaciously..
but, yes, I agree with the carbon statement.. that is my theory, as well.
