Stock vs. Stock? SRT4 I have friends with both and the SRT4 kicks a stock wrx's butt. Unlimited money,, well it'd be a viper or an ultima gtr but wrx or sti moddedd.

the SRT-4 does NOT go for under 20g's...EVER! Thats a BS statement...unless you are buying used.
And the only thing that would stop me from getting the SRT-4 is the fact that its FWD. Even though it does have a slight advantage over a WRX in performance.

In 2004 the SRT-4 was under 20 grand. 2005 they had the fan base so they bumped the price up a little to make more cash, without changing anything about the car. But it was advertised as the fastest car in the world for under 20 grand. Numbers dont lie. Yeah the STI does 0-60 on only 5 seconds, but your also paying nearly 8 grand more. And the final reason no one should ever buy an STI......THERE FUUUUUGLYYYY !!!!
VEHICLE INFO Manufacturer Dodge Model Neon SRT-4 Year 2004 Description Turbocharged, sports-oriented Neon. HP 216 Torque 245 0 to 60 (seconds) 5.3 Price $19,995

'd love to have an STI, but don't think i'd ever pay that much for a subaru, or any other car short of a BMW.
The SRT4 would be my choice. It's fast as hell right from the dealer, and any upgrades you could ever want can be ordered right from dodge/mopar.

Statement above is wrong!
In 2003, SRT was $19,995.
In 2004, SRT added Sunroof as an option and LSD standard which increasd out the door price to $21,195.
In 2005, Kicker Audio system was added as an option for $750. MSRP is $21,195 including destination!
Moonroof is $750 option, Special paint is $150 option.
Dealers frequently discount the fully loaded ones for $3,000 much like the SRT-10 Rams at $5,000 off MSRP

I have never seen a brand new SRT-4, 2003 or otherwise for under 20G's at any dealership.

i think you guys forget that the hp #'s also jumped on the srt to 235 or was it 245??? but i know that they changed it...and if they didnt i believe that that was the actual hp rating and dodge underated it for insurance reasons....i watch ALOT of car and driver tv....i'd take the srt in black w/o the spoiler when i move back south....but if i stayed in the northeast...i'd have to go with the subby for the ability to drive it in all wheater...
