The cheapest way to drive a car with near-perfect handling is a Miata. And a Miata makes a decent DD with a hard top and a set of stock wheels with Blizaks. But a dedicated sports car and a sepereate DD is more fun.



I hate Miatas and would take a squirley handling overpowered muscle car any day of the week. Miatas were built to remind us of the MG's, Fiats, Triumphs, etc. of yester-year and they pulled it off. I hated my '74 Fiat Spider 2200 too! Now, on the other hand, a Monster Miata I can handle!

...and of course if I did buy a squirley handling older "muscle" car, which I did, and I had a bunch of HP sitting on the engine stand, which I do, and I had hand built every bit of suspension under the car, which I am... does that still not make me an enthusiast?
