Where in Santa Ana is it?
They will know if you erase the code w/out fixing the problem.
I had the same code on my SVT, replaced the DPFE, drove over a hundred miles, multiple start-ups etc. Took it back and some of the IM monitors read "not ready" you need to fix the problem and ensure the IM monitors are set. The Actron code reader I use will only let you know if the monitors are functional, you also need to know that they are set.
On DURATEC engines my experience has been that the DPFE is the fix for P0402, and cleaning the passages cures the P0401. I'm not sure about ZETEC engines. do a seacrh or get in touch with some of the ZETEC guru types.
You can also get an extension, just tell the DMV you are having problems, they gave me two months. While you are there pay your registration, that will make things go faster when you return.
The test only stations are also more likely to have problem with after market intakes etc.
