It is a sad day...Now that I'm up in Clemson for some higher edumacation my little bro(1 of 3) has inherited "my" '96 se, which is really the family passer downer. I have moved on and bought my own car...my very first! Some of you may be disappointed to hear what I ended up buying, but I couldn't pass up the deal I was offered. I bought a 2000 Honda Civic SI, which is painted with that really nice blue color. I was not all that excited about getting this car, but after driving it I changed my mind. It has koni adjustable struts and coil overs, 16 inch enkei's, black tinted windows, APEXi 2.25 in exhaust (not loud because I'm no ricer) and an extremely light flywheel. I consider this a nice upgrade from the contour...of course we raced. The contour will always beat a 4 banger off the line but it just couldn't handle the 8 thousand rpm redline of the SI...I am sad to see the tour go, but over all I am happy with my "first" car. (nothing beats the confort of the tour though..those seats and the shifter that is in just the right place.) I do have pictures if anybody is intersted or wants to host...

**Sigh, another Honda**
Oh well, the SI with suspension is a decent car. PM me and I'll get those pics up this afternoon. Keep it as far away from uncle bens as you can! Enjoy it man, and congrats on your own real first car!

Thanks Sleeper. And why in the world would I buy a civic if I had a 98 CSVT? It is, infact, just the exhaust I was able to get for my '96 se.

Haha - your story is the same as mine, almost. When I moved on to college, my sister got her license and got our Contour ("third family vehicle", parents owned). I couldn't stand not having a car so three months later, in November, I bought a '95 Probe GT - the first car I ever drove with MTX.
However - my PGT started falling apart, and I seriously missed the feel of the Contour. When one thing led to another I got rid of it less than a year of buying it. Eventually my sister got another car (not quite a 'tour freak as I am), I started commuting to school and the Contour was put in my name to own for good
