Its the first answer in the FAQ.
Quote:

1.DOOR SPEAKERS

Q: What speakers will fit in my door?
A: Any size can fit if you have the time and money. As for what fits into the stock door locations with only minor drilling or trimming? Most 5x7s, 6x8s, and a few 6x9s will fit in the doors. Component speakers will fit as well with the addition of a plate to hold the mid.

But if youd rather not spend the $100, you can just get an adapter cord that uses the same ai-net plug, but just plugs into your ipod's headphone jack, and plays through your alpines auxilery input.

hey do you know what the item number is for this is? If not, where I can get it? I looked on apple's site and on alpine's site. Maybe it is just a general cable that isn't specific to alpine or the ipod, but if you could point me in the right direction that would be great.

For an AI-net HU, you need this to convert the AI-net port to RCA jacks, and then one of those cables that converts RCA to mini-jack. You plug the AI-net cable into you HU, and then plug the other cable's RCA jacks into the AI-net cable. Then you would plug the mini-jack into your Ipod.

If your Alpine was M-BUS compatible, which it isn't, then you could use this adaptor to convert your cd changer port directly into a mini-jack plug.

yea its KCA-121b and then from that just rca to minijack which can be found anywhere like radioshack.

I myself..went and bought the whole adapter unit today im in the middle of the 2-minute process of putting it in, seeing as i already let the ai-net bus hang by my glove box when i installed my alpine.
Just updatin the ipod before i test er out, gotta have new songs to test....Obviously!

oh yea, about the rear speakers, i apologize for that question, i never even looked for them,i figured they were in the back window area, little did i know that when i checked today they were in the rear door..stupid me :-/

Thanks for all the input ima go see how this thing sounds and works with my cda-7894
