I used to work for a aftermarket distributor...thats how I know... I will try to look up the part# for you guys. The kit is pretty cheap..but like I said, not sure what is all involved with with it. Never saw it in person, just directly out of APC's wholesale catalog.

actually, a blacklight would light up svt
white gauges brilliantly at night. i think
i might experiment with this, it would be
wicked to have a small blacklight hardwired
into the night lighting to really light up
that gauge cluster.

I have never seen anything available from APC for the Contour. I work for a Car Audio Shop who sells APC so if they have something available maybe I can get it and let you guys know how good it is.

The nissan maxima doesn't just have plastic white gauges, they're coated in titanium, with small black outlines around each digit. A friend of mine has a 97' maxima SE, and he's never had a 'disappearing gauge' problem.

I wonder how that would look to Brad's existing white guages?

BRAD!!

See if there is some fluourecent material you can print on. Make sure it is reactive to a black light! I bet you can do this with blue, red, and green!

If you think about it, it has to work. I'm going to find out where to get some cheap, small, 12V blacklights, too.

Lemme know,

If ANYBODY has some pictures of the gauge cluster (Brad?) PLEASE post them, or e-mail them to me. This will help me find a place to mount the blacklight. chris_hightower@NOSPAMdell.com

Right on about the 300M cluster, everyone who's been in the car loves it, 'specially the analog clock.

I'll take a look to see how easy it is to take apart so I can get a little info for poeple who want to do this. I'd love to do it to my 'tour but it's an SE so I've got black faces.

That kit is only for changing the color of their existing dash kits. I saw that one as well. Unfortunately they have no kit for our cars.
