Wee I decided to ditch the breather filter on the valve cover and replace it with an air/oil seperator that feeds back into the intake.
This hase been coved on CEG before but I'll do it again.
Supplies (all at Walmart);
One
Cambell-Hausfeld general purpose mini filter($11).
Two straight nylon 3/8" hose barb connectors with 1/4" MPT to screw into the filter ($0.75 each).
One 90 degree nylon 3/8" hose barb connectors with 1/4" MPT to screw into the airbox ($0.85).
Two 1.25" wide washers with 1/2" hole ($0.37)
One nut to crew onto 1/4" MPT, I forget the size ($0.63)
Very straight forward install;
1) Remove everything from wrappers
2) Remove airbox
3) Screw the two straight connectors into the mini filter
4) Put one of the washers on the MPT thread side of 90 degree connector
5a) If you still have the original line from the valve cover, remove it now
5b) Put the connector (mpt thread side) through the hole on the airbox where the original line feedback in
6) place the second washer on the inside of the airbox over the mpt thread and screw on the nut
7) Reinstall airbox
8) Find place to install filter
9) Run hose from valve cover to "in" side of filter, then run hose from "out" side of filter to connector on airbox
10) Your Done!
My install is only temporary for now,
I didn't have enough hose to mount the filter where I wanted.
