Hey guys, I need help desperately. I recently lost alot of horsepower on my 98 SVT. Took it to the dealer and they quoted me $2500 for a new speed sensor and 3 new catalytic convertors. I did some research and found I could get the parts myself for about $300-400. This would include 2 GUTTED pre-cats, and a non-gutted main cat. I believe that in VA gutted pre cats are illegal, but if I put MIL eliminators on each pre-cat, they (state inspection team)would never know because I would get no CEL. I am not conserned about the legality because I am soon moving back to florida where this mod is NOT illegal. I know nothing about exhaust, all this info has been learned from searching this website.
Here is where I need help. Has anyone ever done this or knows how to do it?? I would be willing to pay good money for the help. I am in the military so I can get on base (auto hobby shop w/ lift)
If you cant help, do you know of any shops that would consider doing this if I supplied the parts.
Please
Thanks
eric

Oh yea and the warranty is out, I have 90,000 miles

The cats fall under the emissions warranty, so if your car is less than 8 years old or 80,000 miles, its covered under warranty.
