For some reason, I seem to remember having fully enclosed strut towers in the rear. I hope that's not an SE thing, but my car has been so fuggin' weird. Ford VIN search says LX, trim package suggests SE, dealer verification says SE. Mileage is well below typical V-6 ATX levels, but performance seems to be much better than a typical SE. Who knows what the hell I've got...

I got my front Konis in last weekend, rears go in next weekend. Should be interesting.

Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.

i have mine about 75-100% stiff most of the time, mostly about 75, but it is very stiff, not bouncy though!

and the adjustment is kind of a b!tch, cuz of the lil lip on the knob

Knob mod optional, in my experience. I had no trouble getting the knob on the rear adjusters after I peeled back the carpet and pad at the top of the tower. No carpet cutting or anything required, either, and you can't see that the carpet has been jacked with.

I've been running at 1/4 turn off of full soft with Roush springs. There is more harshness than with the stock setup, but I don't think it's much worse than when the stock setup was new. Handling and grip were much improved. I may try some adjustments now that everything has settled in a bit.

u progressive spring guys are lucky. i wish my gc's had prosprings. 1/4 from soft in front and 1/2 turn from soft in rear. i've never had it more than 1/2 turn from soft. did 1/2 turn in front once and it was noticeable immediately. too bouncy in front on my streets. had to dial it back.

Full stiff(I call this, race mode). And adjusting the rears is kind of a pain in the arse. You can't see the top of the Koni so you have to have a bit of touch to get the adjuster on the strut. Then turning it is a pain because you can only use your fingers and can't get any real leverage. I keep mine 100% stiff at all times(and that goes for my struts too ).

Back it off 1/4 turn or so to avoid early death. Do the same to your struts.
