I have two Maxtor ATA133 hard drives with 8mb buffers running on XP. the master drive runs all my programs while the slave is used for storage.
My problem is that I can't get any speed out of my slave drive. something happened and I dont know how to fix it. When I go into the device manager and check out the IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers my master drive is running at Ultra DMA mode 6 like it is supposed to, but my slave drive I can only select PIO mode????? Does anybody know what I need to do to fix this issue??
oh, and the motherboard is a SOYO Dragon plus platinum edition.
